For the first time Campaign is on a mission to find the best agency networks and the best agency talent in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, as part of the expansion of our Agency of the Year schemes from the UK and Asia.

We’re inviting companies and talent that works across markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa to help us showcase what excellence looks like in this vibrant region. And we’ll be working with a team of marketers to anoint best in class EMEA players.

Our ambition is ultimately to take a truly international view on the work’s best companies and brightest talent and as one of the most dynamic advertising markets in the world, EMEA is a cornerstone of our plans. Our EMEA awards and winners will help us showcase what excellence really looks like.

The awards are open to Agency Networks across the entire EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa). To qualify for the Agency Network categories companies must operate in 3 locations or more across the region, with one office operating out of Europe. To qualify for the Agency Network people categories entrants must hold a regional role in 3 markets or more.

    Morven is the Director of Consumer & Digital Marketing for Levi’s® Europe, the original and most authentic denim brand. In her role, Morven is responsible for putting the brand at the centre of culture, moving the perception of Levi’s beyond denim and into a lifestyle solutions brand, and building brand equity through the development of integrated marketing strategies, execution of impact- and ROI- led media campaigns, content creation, and social media story-telling. Prior to this, Morven was Director of Public Relations for Levi’s® Europe and UK, overseeing both regional strategy, planning and events, in addition to driving the execution of PR and influencer relations in the UK – one of the brand’s strategic priority markets. During her time at Levi’s®, Morven has helped to put the brand back at the centre of the style conversation – overseeing the European launch of Levi’s® 501 CT jeans and Levi’s® Lot 700 jeans amongst others – built functional capabilities beyond traditional media to capitalize on the opportunities of social media, and focused on creating authentic influencer relationships that deliver value for the business. Prior to joining Levi’s in 2010, Morven held a number of roles at Royal Philips in the Netherlands, including managing events and operations at the company’s corporate communications headquarters, developing the online communications strategy for Philips’ Consumer Electronics business, and as a spokesperson for Philips Lighting.

    Peter DeBenedictis leads the marketing function for Microsoft in the Middle East and Africa region, a role he assumed in March 2017. His team takes an integrated marketing and communications approach, using digital marketing and traditional channels to both build the Microsoft brand and also engage customers and partners on their purchase journey. Peter’s has lived and worked in the Middle East region for over 30 years and has deep experience of growing business in diverse Emerging Markets. Prior to joining Microsoft, he has had a distinguished career leading the marketing function in several of the world’s leading brands, including General Electric, Philips, and FedEx, where he has led multiple growth and investment programs to drive top line growth. He has built multiple public private partnerships with large government organizations to drive regional technology development, local software and engineering skills , and entrepreneurship. Peter has been a regular speaker at Marketing conferences across the region and is a member of several industry organizations. He is a past President of the Alumni Association of Dubai College, one of the top non-profit British schools in the region, and is also a member of their Board of Governors. Peter is based in Dubai with his wife and two children aged 10 and 4.

    Kirsten Wood is an accomplished Marketer who has held positions across various industries in both South Africa and the United Kingdom. These industries include the FMCG, Financial Services and Technology sectors. Her career, which spans over 13 years, has seen her hold positions within globally renowned brand houses which has honed her consumer-focused approach to strategy. Kirsten is currently the Marketing Director of Mastercard, Southern Africa. She leads on all marketing fronts that delivers on Mastercard’s business to business, business to business to consumer and business to consumer strategies. Kirsten holds a BSC degree from the University of Stellenbosch.

    Denise’s love of Britpop led her from Berlin to 90’s London, where she spent 15+ years of her professional career working within some of the most iconic and trend setting Global brands across the fashion, lifestyle, music and tech industries.    She’s spent the last 9 years at Converse- building the brand; reigniting and repositioning it in the UK through innovative 360’ programs, collaborating with London’s most creative thought leaders who are as passionate as she is about contributing to and supporting London’s youth culture.   Transitioning from hectic East London to not so hectic East Amsterdam for her current role as Brand Director for Chuck Taylor, Denise is now lucky enough to be tasked with ensuring brand love and revenue health across Western Europe for the most iconic sneaker of all time.

After graduating, Dan swapped buildings for beauty and spent 6 years at L’Oréal UK before moving to Paris to launch L’Oréal Men Expert. In 2003, he joined Unilever on Axe, starting a creative renaissance. He developed “The Axe Effect” campaign, giving millions of guys the edge in the mating game, led award winning launches of Axe in Japan & China and delivered 7 years of 25% CAGR. In 2013 Dan joined Mars as Snickers Global Brand VP, leading a 3yr $0.5b turnaround. In 2016 “You’re Not You When You’re Hungry” was recognised as the most awarded campaign of all time. Today he’s a Chief Marketing Officer at eBay and sits on the World Federation of Advertisers executive committee, advises tech start-ups & judges for the Cannes Lions.

Prior to joining Danone Beatrice worked in the media strategy, planning and buying space for over ten years, where she has held various roles from being responsible for digital transformation, shaping an integrated communications planning approach as well as establishing completely new media organizations. From her background in both marketing and procurement, Beatrice has a passion for developing internal capabilities, driving transformation and seamlessly combining business needs with any media strategy to deliver tangible business results. Beatrice holds MSc. in engineering and management of computer science. She is regularly an attendee as speaker and jury memeber at for instance Global Festival of Media and AdWeek.

She started in Menlo Park running marketing for News Feed and Facebook video and more recently moved back to London to set up the consumer marketing team in Europe. Before she moved into tech, Caroline worked at WPP agencies for over 10 years in various roles spanning London, South Africa and New York.

Prior to that, Waithera was the Digital Lead at Coca-Cola Central East and West Africa where she spearheaded digital marketing for 5 seasons for the award winning Coke Studio Africa, a pan Africa music TV show. Waithera is passionate about building capability in marketing in Africa and lends her time to mentoring and training in this space.

    Nicola Mendelsohn is currently the Vice President for Europe, Middle East, and Africa for Facebook. A role she has held since 2013.   She currently serves on The Mayor of London’s Business Advisory Board, and in September 2014 she became a non-executive director of Diageo. She and her husband are also co-presidents of the charity Norwood.   In 2015 she was awarded a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) for services to the creative industries in the UK. From 2012-2018, she was the co-chair of the Creative Industries Council alongside Secretaries of State for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) and BEIS – a joint forum between the UK creative industries and government.    Prior to joining Facebook Nicola worked in advertising for over 20 years, beginning her career at Bartle Bogle Hegarty then moving to be deputy Chairman of Grey London. In 2008, she became partner and executive chairman at the advertising agency, Karmarama. Prior roles include: first female President of the IPA (the advertising industry trade body), Trustee of The White Ribbon Alliance, Chairman of Women’s Aid Development Board and President of the Women in Advertising and Communications London club (WACL). She was also a Director of the Women’s Prize for Fiction.   Her greatest joy in life comes from her husband Jon and her four children Gabi, Danny, Sam and Zac.

As Commercial Director Nick has overall responsibility for sales, pricing and revenue management, marketing and distribution, including eurostar.com and the Eurostar Contact Centre.

    Matthew Barwell is the Chief Marketing Officer of Britvic Soft Drinks Plc, a key member of the Executive Committee responsible for all aspects of Global Brand strategy and execution, Innovation as well as for Corporate Relations and the company’s sustainability agenda.  Matthew joined Britvic in 2014 from Diageo, the world’s leading premium drinks business, where he was a senior member of the marketing team for more than 15 years.  Matthew was Marketing and Innovation Director for Diageo Europe and prior to that Marketing and Innovation Director for Africa.  He also worked and lived in Italy for a number of years with the company.  He started his career as a graduate trainee at Mars, working in sales and marketing across the Petcare and Confectionary businesses.  Matthew is a Council member of the Marketing Group of Great Britain and a Fellow of the Marketing Society. He lives in Berkshire with his wife Harriet and three boys.
